Honey
While the bees are sleeping . . .
Monofloral honey
is made by bees
who feed
on only one flower,
their simple prayer
repeated, but not easy.
If we return
to a single word
in sweetness,
an amber mantra,
drop by drop,
would an entire orchard
or a single blossom
feed us?

There is something deeply comforting in reading a poem about bees.
Ann, this is moving. Happy to have stumbled upon it tonight.
