I absolutely loved this post! It brought such calm and peace to my day. The framing of taking the time to pause and notice things as kindness is so lovely. You've really inspired me to start taking more notice of the little changes every day!

I've really overdone things the last two weeks, so I can't go outside today. I need to rest! But that's when I turn to soothing words and images. They help to restore me to myself. Thanks, Ann!

This post really resonated with me especially : "In order to enjoy the microseasons, there is no long do-list to accomplish. No classes to take or supplies to buy. No experts to consult." Truth!! Just taking the seasons, the weather, the day as it comes.

I'm so enjoying reading through your archive and getting to know Microseasons. I've come back to this post many times already. 💚 You have such a beautiful, tender relationship with the world around you, combined with your creativity, that is deeply inspiring. I spent a while outside just now, watering some yew trees in the dark. I could hardly tell if they were green or black or grainy gray, so little light shone. Regardless, I stood there, watering, listening to the bugs sing on a hot, humid night. One of the yews is struggling, and I trimmed off a burnt orange limb I've been meaning to for a week. We both felt a little lighter after that!
